Debra Ashton has had a stellar career in planned giving since 1975, having run the planned giving programs for Boston College, Boston University, Wheaton College, and WGBH. She began her career at Boston Safe Deposit and Trust Company as Deferred Giving Administrator. She is best known as author of The Complete Guide to Planned Giving ©1988, 1991, and 2004. Thousands of readers have dog-eared editions of what they call The Blue Bible. Debra is a frequent speaker to fundraising and estate planning groups in the U.S. and Canada and consults to many organizations and charities. Her articles have appeared widely in fundraising journals nationwide. She runs Ashton Associates from Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
