Marc Carmichael
Marc Carmichael, J.D., has worked in the field of charitable gift planning since 1976, and served as President of the R&R Newkirk Company, a leader in planned gift marketing, research, and training, for 25 years. Marc has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University and is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Law. He is a past president and board member of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, and has served on the board of directors of the Chicago Council on Planned Giving.
He has spoken at the national conferences of the National Association of Gift Planners, Association of Fundraising Professionals, National Catholic Development Council, American Council on Gift Annuities, and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, and has chaired the National Conference on Planned Giving. He has served as Chair of the NCPG editorial advisory committee, which published The Journal of Gift Planning.
In 2005 he received the Russell V. Kohr Memorial Award for excellence in gift planning from the Chicago Council on Planned Giving. Marc continues to write and speak on planned giving topics and appears frequently before donor and professional groups.
